Connecticut's Bristol Old Tyme Fiddler's Club

CBOTFC PRESS RELEASE

Since 1972, the Connecticut 's Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers Club helps to “preserve and promote” old tyme fiddling by playing of “old barn-style” square dance tunes like Turkey in the Straw, Golden Slippers and Irish Washerwoman!

This dynamic group of musicians, whose ages range from 9 to  92, play fiddle, guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin, button box, accordion, spoons, harmonica, banjitar and percussion along with wood block and cow bell.

And, for over thirty years, the Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers, under the direction of Gerry Lagace, have charmed audiences, with their group and solo playing of “toe-tappin’ & foot-stompin’ up-beat tunes”, by “ear”!

This so called, “Happy Music”, can tease smiles and hand clapping which, now and then, gets a spontaneous dance from even the most “polite” audience.  Come join these musicians on the fun!
